Project Description: On December 8, 2010 Campus Apartments, LLC of Philadelphia, PA broke ground on what was the only hotel construction start in Philadelphia for the year. This spring an 11-Story extended stay Homewood Suites will rise above the 4100 block of Walnut Street in the University City section of Philadelphia. Scheduled for completion in March 2012, the 136 suites will offer full kitchens and one bedroom, averaging approximately 500 square feet of total living space. Campus Apartments, LLC recognized the demand for such a hotel to support visitors to nearby health and educational facilities such as the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Medicine, and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Project: The Ocean House Hotel and Residence

Location: Watch Hill, RI

Project Description: The Ocean House Hotel & Residence in Watch Hill, RI opened its doors in early June 2010. This remarkable design by Odeh Engineers of North Providence, RI demonstrates how the Girder-Slab System along with conventional structural steel can be implemented to accommodate a complex architectural layout. The hotel and residence has been designed to retain the original integrity of the historic Ocean House hotel originally build in 1868 on the same site. The new hotel and residence features twenty-four year round residences and 48 boutique hotel rooms. The Girder-Slab System is being distributed by Shepard Steel of Hartford, CT.

Project Description: The new six story aloft in Mt. Laurel, NJ was completed ahead of schedule and held its grand opening in October 2009. The aloft is one of the newest and most innovative hotels in the Starwood family. Owned by Delco Development, the 91,000 square foot hotel was designed by Newcomer Associates of Chambersburg, PA. The aloft will offer 154 spacious loft-like rooms for visitors to the South Jersey and Philadelphia area. The Girder-Slab System was distributed by The Berlin Steel Construction Company of Malvern, PA. The precast hollow core slabs have been manufactured and supplied by Boccella Precast, LLC of Berlin, NJ. The project is being built by E.P. Guidi of Ambler, PA, and erected by J.L. Erectors of Blackwood, NJ.

Project: Westin Hotel

Location: Richmond, VA

Project Description: The seven story, 150,000 square foot Westin Starwood Hotel was designed by architects Thomas Hamilton & Associates of Richmond, VA and engineered by Dynamic Design, Inc., of Chesterfield County, VA. Scheduled to open in June of 2008, the Westin Richmond will provide 250 upscale rooms to the area, and is the first Girder-Slab project in the state of Virginia. CSE Erectors of Lynchburg, VA , in conjunction with Concrete Systems of Bremen, GA , have been able to erect 22,000 S.F. of steel and plank in two days, equivilant to one floor of the hotel, and grout the same area in one day! Once two elevated slabs were erected, all other trades had been mobilized. The Girder-Slab System is being distributed by Liphart Steel Company of Richmond, VA. The precast hollow core slabs have been manufactured and supplied by Oldcastle Precast, Inc. of Townson, MD. The project is being built by Kenbridge Construction of Kenbridge, VA.

Project Description: The Renaissance Patriot Place is located in Foxboro, Massachusetts adjacent to Gillete Stadium, home of the New England Patriots. The 5 story hotel consists of 150 rooms and over 1,800 square feet of meeting space. The Renaissance Boston Hotel & Spa at Patriot Place is the only luxury hotel in Foxborough.
